Picture From Last Thing I watched:

Okay, so about the subject name, basically the sun has given me a red nose, it doesn't look radioactive or anything, just a little of the dark pink side lol.

Do ya like the banner at top? Made it with my own ten fingers.

The last couple of days have been fun! I got promoted on set from 2nd AD to 1st Assistant Director which was brilliant, I was scared at first, because I basically had to go around harrasing everyone to get ready and kick everyone's butts and call the shots just before a take, tell you what, here's an example of what I do before the take (I also did the clapper)
Me: Everyone Ready?
Them: yes!
Me: Sound Ready?
Sound Lady: Ready.
Me: Stand by everybody (we're going for a take/rehearsal and when the brat teenagers were around SILENCE! We're going for a TAKE!!)
-Pause for everyone to stop their shuffling-
Me: Sound!
Sound Lady: Speed!
Me: Camera!
Camera Dude/ Director: Rolling! Mark it!
Me: Roll 2: Slate 20: Take 1!
And sometimes I call action and cut.

I was quite nervous mainly because I was bossing people around who had been doing this for ages - in this case were on a course at the New York Film Academy, and obviously I haven't been doing this very long and they all new that. But they were fine with it, they were helping me learn things and giving me advise, they were so nice about it all.

Some of the most fun bits were yesterday, as after calling the clapper sometimes I had to duck right under the camera and couldn't move because I was against the railings (we were on a pier next to the Ferry Docks in Dover) and I would sometimes be sitting on the actors feet! LOL! So funny. The guys that I worked with are hilarious too, quite dirty (in a not serious way) but so funny.

Another funny moment was when everyone was ready for the shot and in postition, I called the clapper, director called action, I lowered the clapper and the director looked up and said "Wheres he gone?" and we saw the actor walking casually off towards the toilet in the distance!

The only part of the day that got on all our nerves was when these kids on the beach kept trying to mess up the shots and refused to be quiet, they were like 11-13 years old and were pouring out with foul language, saying 'This is our beach and we're not gonna be quiet until you let us in your film!!' so the director and sound lady just kept shouting at them, so we had to work around them which was annoying because we now have to record the sound seperately and combine dialogue/waves/seagulls.

I saw Lost!! And I loved it! its excellent can't wait till next week. I missed the beginning - the crash squence which is supposed to be well shot but I'll see it tomorrow as Adam has (hopefully) recorded it for me.

I got back last night and completely crashed out in my mess of a room (yuck! hate mess!!) at 9:20pm. The weird thing is, I got two texts during the night from Adam, and I didn't even hear them go off, but woke up as soon as the txts reached me, and again later I got a phone call, didn't hear it go off, but woke up and straight away answered it and the whole conversation feels surreal because I was SO tired.

Anyways, enough of the babblethon
bye!
x
